ENJOY YOUR LIFE!
Here's the new folk-art photo. It's different for a change. It reminds me of a Disney cartoon or a concert poster from the 60's. Ah, the 60's!
I am back to writing songs for a new album and planning pre-production with several studios. Are you kidding? What record lable? The title song is "The Thrift Store Dress" which is somewhat approprite to the eco-times we find ourselves in.
The upcomming concert at the Mustard Seed will feature my new material and the past favorties. Where are you going to be August 15th? The Mustard Seed is the oldest coffeehouse in New England with the oldest steam heaters, which hopefully will not be in use in August!
Fall foliage beginning in September. You might take a mid-week country drive to Brookline, MA to the Village Gate Folk Stage.
It's open mike night! Time to get out the guitar, banjo, mando, penny whistles and come join in! I will be the feature for the evening and will bring delicous almost-home-made pies! Details on my CALENDAR page.
I traded my Martin OM28 for a new Taylor small body spruce top. It's perfect for songwriting and therapuetic music.
Currently, I am in a theraputic music program at Concord Hospital with Alice Kinsler, Manager of the Therapuetic Arts and Activities Department. I am working with two other CMP's in the program and we are all loving the patients, the program, and especially awesome Alice, who looks after all the details with grace and charm!
(I am a Certified Music Practitioner (CMP) with the Music for Healing and Transition Program (www.mhtp.org )and play therapuetic live music sessions for patents at bedside).
As a touring artist with the NH State Council for the Arts and the New England Foundation for the Arts, I have funding available for my family friendly concerts. www.matchbook.org
Also, I have funding available as an Artist in Health Care with the NH State Council for the Arts. Contact Judy Rigmont, Grant Coordinator for funding information.
